Refill Leiston
Everyday refills. Less packaging.
Refill Zero Waste — an independent Leiston business
Refill Zero Waste Shop is an established, independently run Leiston town-centre business. When Project40Seven took on the building at 47 High Street, we provided a new home for Amanda’s shop. Refill remains Amanda’s independent business, with its own identity and trading activity, while being an integral part of the welcoming space we share. The idea is practical: bring a container you already own, buy the quantity you need and avoid unnecessary new packaging.
A Leiston business with its own story
Refill began as an independent local venture in 2020, originally opening on Leiston High Street. Amanda spoke publicly at the time about wanting to make low-waste shopping available locally rather than requiring people to travel elsewhere. Her early writing explored practical changes at home, from reusable wipes and nappies to everyday alternatives to disposable products. That independent, personal motivation remains part of Refill’s story.

What you can find
The range has included household cleaning products, laundry refills, toiletries, cosmetics, dried cupboard ingredients, savoury foods and sweet treats, alongside reusable and packaging-light alternatives. Refill has also highlighted vegan, gluten-free, Fairtrade and ethically sourced choices. Availability and specific product claims vary, so check with Amanda about current stock, allergens, ingredients and prices.
Bring what you already have
Clean bags, empty tubs, jars and bottles can all help you reuse what is already in your cupboard. You do not have to change every shopping habit at once: replacing one packaged purchase with a refill is a useful start. Bring your containers and ask Amanda which are suitable for the product you want to buy.
