Policies & procedures
Warmth, dignity and care are backed by clear responsibilities.
These policies guide how Creative Leiston C.I.C. runs Project40Seven and our projects across East Suffolk Coastal. They help us provide welcoming services, protect personal information and respond properly when someone has a concern.
Privacy & data protection
Our Data Protection Policy and Confidentiality Policy cover the handling, security, sharing and retention of personal information. Read our privacy and data protection statement, including your rights and how to contact us.
Complaints & feedback
If something has gone wrong, please tell us. Where appropriate, you can speak informally to a Volunteer Team Leader or Director, but you do not have to do this before making a formal complaint.
You can complain in person, in writing, by email or through a representative. Email info@project40seven.co.uk, or write to the Directors at 47 High Street, Leiston, IP16 4EL. Include what happened, relevant dates, your contact details and the outcome you would like, if you know it.
Under our Complaints Policy, formal complaints are normally acknowledged within 10 working days. Complaints are investigated fairly and handled confidentially wherever practicable. You may request a review if you remain dissatisfied. Nobody should be disadvantaged for raising a genuine concern in good faith.
Equality, diversity & inclusion
We aim to treat everyone with dignity and respect and make our services welcoming and accessible. Discrimination, harassment, bullying and victimisation are not tolerated. Tell us about any support or adjustments you need to take part, or raise a concern through the complaints process.
Confidentiality & photographs
People working on our behalf must respect personal and confidential information. Information is shared only where authorised and necessary; confidentiality must never prevent appropriate safeguarding action. Photographs and video require appropriate consent, with particular care for children and adults at risk.
Sustainability
Our Sustainability Policy connects people, planet and long-term viability. Our work includes reducing food waste, encouraging reuse through Uniform Exchange and the Library of Things, community growing through The Leiston Land Army, and considering responsible purchasing and resource use. Refill offers an everyday way to reuse containers and reduce packaging.
