Magic of Christmas 2026 — our programme launches

Christmas dinner pack bags filled with food and festive essentials

Programme launched: 15 October 2026

Our Magic of Christmas 2026 programme is bringing practical support, celebration and a little festive magic to households across our local communities. The aim is simple: help families plan ahead, ease pressure on limited budgets and make Christmas more accessible.

Christmas Dinner Packs

Our Christmas Dinner Packs give households the opportunity to plan for Christmas with a contribution of just £10 per pack, rather than facing the full supermarket cost of a festive meal. Each pack contains the main elements of a Christmas dinner, including a meat or vegetarian main, potatoes, vegetables, accompaniments and seasonal treats. Contents depend on availability. We are working hard with local supporters and suppliers to make the programme possible again this year.

Bookings open 22 October and close 4 December 2026. Booking is in person and limited to one pack per household, subject to availability and programme eligibility.

More than a Christmas dinner

Magic of Christmas also brings together our Secret Santa gift appeal, Father Christmas’s Toy Workshop, family craft activities and other festive community events. Alongside new gifts for local children, our Toy Workshop helps good-quality preloved toys find another home. The Christmas programme is also about opportunities to meet, create and share in the season.

Help make the magic happen

Businesses, community groups and individuals can support the programme with sponsorship, donations, supplies, transport or practical help. We can discuss how contributions support the programme and the community outcomes they help deliver.
